Hanoi Motorbike Rental is part of the larger Offroad Vietnam Adventures organization. Since 2006, the company has specialized in outdoor adventures in Vietnam, including motorbiking, cycling, 4×4 adventures, and small-group cruises. Unlike many travel companies in Vietnam, we do not focus on conventional large-group bus tours. Instead, we concentrate on independent travel, adventure, and exploring Vietnam from a different perspective.
This website focuses specifically on our motorbike rental business in Hanoi. Our fleet includes road motorcycles, off-road motorbikes, touring bikes, and scooters for local transportation and long-distance motorcycle trips throughout Vietnam. All our motorcycles are genuine Japanese Honda bikes. We do not use Chinese copies or unreliable fake brands. Please note that Honda does not sponsor or officially endorse our business.
Why Only Honda?
You may wonder why we choose to use Honda motorcycles exclusively. There are many well-known motorcycle manufacturers around the world, but Honda has traditionally dominated the Vietnamese motorbike market. This means that Honda motorcycles are extremely common throughout Vietnam, making spare parts, servicing, maintenance, and repairs much easier to arrange almost anywhere in the country.
Our motorbike rental business was founded in late 2006 by two local motorcycle riders. At the time, we recognized the growing demand from riders around the world who wanted to discover Vietnam more authentically – on two wheels and away from the usual tourist routes.
When we started, the Russian Minsk 2-stroke 125cc was one of the few options available for adventurous riders. However, the Minsk was relatively weak and unreliable, with high fuel consumption of around 5-6 liters per 100 km. The era of the famous “iron buffalo” eventually came to an end, and we believed there had to be a better motorcycle for exploring Vietnam.
We therefore switched to 4-stroke Honda road motorcycles and dirt bikes, including larger-capacity models from around 160cc to 250cc. We have owned and operated Honda motorcycles for many years, and we continue to choose them because they are reliable, easy to maintain, and supported by widely available spare parts. In Vietnam, Honda is so deeply associated with motorcycles that one popular saying explains it perfectly: “Honda” practically means “motorbike” in Vietnamese!
Vietnam is truly a motorbike nation, and there is arguably no better way to experience the country than from the seat of a motorcycle.
