Our Location In The Old Quarter Of Hanoi
Hanoi-based Hanoi Motorbike Rental is right in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, near the foot of Chuong Duong bridge.
This quarter is the real Hanoi, and with Hanoi Motorbike Rental you get a taste of the real Vietnam. In fact, we are one part of Offroad Vietnam Adventures. Therefore, our official trade name will be Offroad Vietnam.
First, go to number 34A or 36 on Nguyen Huu Huan street. Then enter the little alleyway between number 34A (a coffee shop) and number 36 (wood furniture shop). Our shop is the third door on the left in the below map. In fact, it’s just 10m from the main street. Our sign is in orange color, with just a photo of a Honda dirt bike on it. You can also enter this little street from Hang Bac and/or Luong Ngoc Quyen street but it’s more difficult to find us.

Dear Sirs,
I am on a business trip in Hanoi from November 11th – 13th. On Thursday, November 14th, I would like to rent a motor bike or to book your tour “One day around Hanoi”. My hotel (Eden Hotel) is nearby your location.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Franz Simon
Dear Mr. Franz Simon,
Thank you for your inquiry but unfortunately this date doesn’t works for us. We are booked out through November and may be next time at a much earlier notice. Hanoi Motorbike Rental Team.
Dear Sirs,
I am currently planning a scooter trip this summer with a friend in Vietnam. We want to ride a scooter from Hanoi to Hoi An and return with the train from Da Nang. We do not own a motorcycle license but we heard that it is legal to ride a 50 cc scooter without license in Vietnam. Is it possible to ride to Hoi An and take the train back in 9 days? Are there 50 cc scooters in a different colour than pink? What would the cost be?
Best regards,
Joep
Hello Joep. You do need to pass a theory test for motorbikes of 50cc or less (not may people realize this or advise honestly), a driving test for over 50cc. The police don’t stop and check your license if you do nothing wrong. In fact, this is more to do with your travel insurance that covers motorbike accidents. The pink scooter you saw was discontinued, it’s so tiny and had no real suspension. Our smallest touring bike now is 110cc. Based on your inquiry, we are sorry we are not able to accommodate a trip for you this time.
Hello, We want to visit Hanoi in April and rent two motorbikes with sidecars. Do you have bikes with sidecars? Thank you for your reply,
Regards,
Judith
hi ! you still have that old TLR 200cc ?
thanks !
Hello Guilaume. This bike was sold many years ago. We now only have newer Honda Baja XR250 for sale starting from 1,800$US to 2,500$US each depending on conditions.
Hi, my name is Vicki and my daughter and I are coming over to Hanoi for two weeks in January on the 28th to the 12th of February. We were enquiring how much would it cost for those days and how old do you have to be to be able to ride a moto bike as we are planning on doing a big road trip through our time while we are staying there? We are both excellent at riding bikes so we have a lot of experience. If you could get back to me soon as you can that would be great.
Hello Vicki. You can have a look at this link and tell us what you think about the prices and the type of tours you want to do. We require real riding skills, no restriction on age.
Hi, I know you have been asked before about one-way hire – pickup in Saigon and return in Hanoi – and as it was a couple of years ago now, I thought I’d ask again to see if you have this facility now?
Thanks,
Ron.
Dear Ron. Yes, but if only you place a large deposit and we send a bike down there. What bike do you want and your dates please?
Dear Anh Wu,
That’s great and leaving a deposit is not a problem. I’ll email you with details.
Dear Ron. Yes, please check email for our detailed reply. Bikes here are expensive due to 120% taxes.
Hello,
Id like to hire a honda 150/250 for non-guided off-road tour of Northern vietnam.
Planning (TBC) to arrive 1st week of March.
I am an experienced rider. Please send me some details/costs/availability.
Thanks,
Chris.
Hello Chris,
We currently have bikes available for your dates. You can have a look at this link for options.
To make sure you have bikes when you come, we would like to have bikes booked and paid for before they are not available. If you wait until you arrive in Hanoi then there is no guarantee that the bikes you want are available. We will send instructions if you agree to proceed. You can pay with credit cards online, Western Union cash transfer or even a traditional bank transfer.
We offer support on the phone while you are on the trip to help explaining to the local mechanics, hotels, restaurants and local people. It’s in fluent English and Vietnamese and won’t waste any second of your time. We are with you the whole way. This is very important when you are in Vietnam.
Hello,
Plz do you have some bigger scooters to rent? At least 250cc, I going to Vietnam with a friend and plan a long trip from Hanoi to Saigon. Or bigger road bikes, or choppers or something that has more than 15kW.
Milan.
Hello Milan,
Any bike over 125cc is very expensive in Vietnam due to 120% taxes. FYI, a new Honda SH300i is 13,000$US!!! That’s way too much for the business. We have 2014-2017 Honda CRF250L dirt bike for rent at 40$US/day. Older bikes are not reliable.
We are based in Hanoi only and unfortunately haven’t provided a one-way motorbike hire yet. This was mentioned clearly on our website.
In reality, there are some companies that offer one-way rental but sadly they don’t use the same quality or bikes like our fleet so sadly we can’t recommend. In addition, we don’t work with anyone and therefore know nothing about how they do business. Luckily, you could easily find them through Google.
Hi, owuld like to hire three bikes from Hanioi to do Ta Xua over two days. What would you recommend?
Thanks
Tony
Hello Tony. When do you need the bikes and also what type of bikes do you want to hire?
Hi im arriving in Hanoi on the 18th would you be able to reserve 2 of the 150cc road touring bikes for us to rent for 4 days?
Dear Cameron. Sadly, we don’t have any Honda CGL125 available and all bikes are booked until November 18th. The first available bike is Honda XR150L from the 19th for 20$US/bike/day.
Hello
Looking to rent 2 150cc scooters from the 6-19th February 2024.
Thank you Darren. Sadly, we don’t have 150cc scooters but you can check at think link to see all current bike options we provide.
