SCOOTERS FOR HIRE IN HANOI, LONG-TERM CONTRACTS
Apart from hiring manual clutch touring motorbikes to travellers who ride on long-distance trips, Hanoi Motorbike Rental also offers long-term and short-term scooter rental contracts to expats and people who work in or around Hanoi. These scooters are easy to ride, near new conditions, economical, durable, and super reliable. They start right away after you turn on the key and press the starter. In fact, this is the most important thing and especially on cold days. With Vietnam tropical weather, Honda is the best choice if you need a scooter like this.
About Scooters For Rent In Hanoi
We have been providing near new or latest models of scooters in Hanoi. In particular, we only rent out genuine Honda products, no other brands, or Chinese fakes. Please take these details into account when you decide which bike to hire. Ask about the bike model and year of manufacturing don’t just look at prices. In general, our rates are competitive and the quality is best.
You can ride up to 1,500km/month and come to our office every month. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, pay for first-month rental money. Meanwhile, you have the scooter checked and inspected by our mechanics to make sure that it won’t have any problem in the coming months. All scooters are made in Vietnam, parts are everywhere. In reality, any of over 700 Honda authorized shops can provide service or maintenance when you need it.
One thing you need to take care of on Honda semi-automatic models is flat tires. This happens when you have nails, needles, and pins, or sharp metal pieces that puncture the inner tubes. These things might come from dishonest road-side mechanics or from other motorbikes. As a note, this is not under our guarantee but any mechanic can patch an inner tube or replaces a new one in no time.
On the other hand, if you hire fully automatic scooters, this is not always an issue because they use tubeless tires. However, deep cuts or big nails can damage the tire completely.
In case you don’t have a licence or your licence(s) is not accepted in Vietnam, then you can check the 50cc scooter option that requires nothing to ride. However, 50cc scooters are weak and are Taiwanese or Chinese products, not a Japanese Honda as we prefer due to the crazy price and availability.

Good morning,
looking for a scooter to rent to go around in Hanoi (possibly long term) As I am very tall, I probably best try first. What scooter are available right now, which on do you recommend for tall persons? (close to 2 m)
Thanks for your reply
Reinhold
Dear Reinhold. We have a wide range of scooters. The bigger is more expensive. Starting from the cheapest, a Honda Wave at 50$US/month to the medium size Honda Lead 110cc / Honda Lead 125cc at 120$US/month or the maxi Honda SH125i at 300$US/month. To be honest, the most popular is a semi-automatic Honda Wave or fully automatic Lead. Honda SH is expensive and not many people want to pay that price. Let us know your thoughts please.
Hello
I live in HCM since 4 years. I arrive in Hanoi next friday (nov 28) at 5pm and i go back sunday evening.
Is it possible to rent a bike/scooter for those 2 days ? I’ll just go to Ninh Binh with my girlfriend.
Is it possible to have the motobike from the airport ?
Thanks and hope to see you soon !
Hello Tristan. Unfortunately, we are booked up till mid-December and have no bike for you this time. Scooters are not a good way to ride on a long trip. Hopefully, we could do something next time, but a much earlier notice.
I need a Lead for 5 or 6 days, staying at Hanoi elegance ruby hotel.
Hello Ken. Could you advise your dates please? We are not able to confirm because you didn’t provide dates. If you hire this Honda Lead for a short time and ride in Hanoi (no long distance trip) the cost is 12$US/day.
Hi,
Is it possible to hire a bike (suitable for a pillion passenger) from Hanoi and then drop off in HCMC?
Hello Johanah. We are based in Hanoi only and sadly haven’t offered one-way motorbike hire yet. You need to pick up the rental bike and return in Hanoi.
Hello,
Me and my friend will stay in Hanoi from March 23rd to April 8th. We would like to hire a scooter for short distances (getting around in Hanoi) and from time to time a bigger bike for longer distances. Could we hire the scooter/bike with you and if so, for what price?
Thank you very much in advance for your answer.
Kind regards
Marie
Hello Marie,
Below is our current bike fleet for you to choose. All are Japanese Honda products, not Chinese bikes.

Please let us know your thoughts.
Hello
I’m looking for mid-term motorbike rent (3 months, from Oct 1st.).
The bike would be a manual and below 150cc and on-road model like Exciter.
Many Thanks
Hello Yechan Lee. We use Honda brand only and sadly do’t have Exciter. However, we have a better one, Honda Winner 150cc. The cost is 120$US/month.
Is there any automatic scooter?
Nouvo? Vision? Lead? PCX?
Please check at this link. We use Honda brand only. Nouvo is a very bad model and sadly it doesn’t pass our quality check. Honda Wave or Super Dream has been the best and cheapest scooter we rent. They are semi-automatic, less than 3 years old or less than 30,000km.
I will be in Hanoi for a few days in December. Is it possible to rent a scooter to explore the city for a few days? what would the cost be per day?
Hello Gary. Yes, it’s possible. What’s your exact dates and duration? We are not able to confirm until these details are provided.
You can check prices of semi-automatic scooters here or fully automatic scooters here.
Hi
Please quote me for Honda Wave (Original Japan) 2017 or 2018 model. I need to ask do you rent out for half a month also? Or only monthly rentals?
Please quote me for a month. And also please quote me for half a month.
I need to rent it in Hanoi and return it in Ho Chi Minh, so whether you have outlets in both cities?
Dear Ahmed. Sadly, we don’t offer one-way rental or monthly rental on long distance trips. We are based in Hanoi only and have no office down in HCMC.
Hi
I am looking to rent a full automatic Air Blade… Newer model, on a long term basis as from Wednesday, 6 November.
Please let me have your rate.
Thanks & regards,
Bleue.
Dear Bleue. We have exchanged emails so please check our replies and let us know your decision.
Hi,
I am looking for monthly motorbike renting in Hanoi.
Mostly prefer SYM shark.
Hello Mahesh. Thank you for contacting us and we are sorry for this delay in replying. In fact, we don’t provide this model as we use only Japanese Honda scooters. Currently, we don’t have any automatic scooters available for hire, they are fully booked. This SYM model is too old and therefore not reliable and you can do some more research to find shops that offer it. Good luck!
