SCOOTERS FOR HIRE IN HANOI, LONG-TERM CONTRACTS
Apart from renting manual-clutch touring motorbikes to travelers who want to take long-distance trips around Vietnam, Hanoi Motorbike Rental also offers short-term and long-term scooter rentals in Hanoi for expats, residents, and people who work in or around the city. Our scooters are easy to ride, in near-new condition, economical, durable, and highly reliable. They start quickly after you turn the key and press the electric starter, which is especially important on cold mornings or after the scooter has been parked overnight.
With Vietnam’s tropical climate and busy urban roads, Honda scooters are an excellent choice for everyday transportation. Honda is well known for reliability, fuel efficiency, easy maintenance, and widely available spare parts, making these scooters particularly practical for people who need dependable transportation while living or working in Hanoi.
About Scooters For Rent In Hanoi
We have been providing near-new and latest-model scooters for rent in Hanoi for many years. In particular, we rent out only genuine Honda products, with no other brands or Chinese fakes in our main fleet. Please keep these details in mind when deciding which scooter to hire in Hanoi. When inquiring, ask about the bike model, manufacturing year, and actual condition rather than simply comparing rental prices. In general, our Hanoi scooter rental rates are competitive, while the quality and reliability of our Honda scooters remain our priority.

You can ride up to 1,500 km per month and visit our office once a month. There are two main reasons for this arrangement. Firstly, you pay for the next month’s rental. At the same time, you can have your scooter checked and inspected by our mechanics to make sure it remains in good condition and to identify any potential problems before they become serious.
All of our scooters are made in Vietnam, and replacement parts are widely available. In fact, there are more than 700 Honda authorized service shops throughout Vietnam, so finding professional service or maintenance when needed is generally very easy. This is one of the major advantages of choosing a Honda scooter rental in Hanoi for long-term use.
One thing you should pay attention to with Honda semi-automatic motorcycles is flat tires. Punctures can happen when nails, needles, pins, or other sharp pieces of metal become lodged in the tire and puncture the inner tube. Unfortunately, these objects can sometimes be left on the road or deliberately placed there by dishonest roadside mechanics or other individuals.
Please note that punctures are not covered by our rental guarantee. However, repairing a punctured inner tube is normally a quick and inexpensive job, and almost any local motorcycle mechanic can patch the tube or replace it with a new one within a short time.
On the other hand, if you hire one of our fully automatic Honda scooters, flat tires are generally less of an issue because these models use tubeless tires. A small puncture can often be repaired without removing the tire. However, deep cuts, large nails, or serious tire damage can still require a complete tire replacement.
If you don’t have a motorcycle license, or your license is not accepted in Vietnam, you can also check our 50cc scooter option. These scooters are designed for riders who do not have a motorcycle license, subject to Vietnamese regulations. However, 50cc scooters are relatively weak, and our available models are Taiwanese or Chinese products rather than Japanese Honda models. We prefer genuine Honda scooters whenever possible, but the extremely high price and limited availability of Japanese Honda 50cc models make them impractical for our rental fleet.

Good morning,
looking for a scooter to rent to go around in Hanoi (possibly long term) As I am very tall, I probably best try first. What scooter are available right now, which on do you recommend for tall persons? (close to 2 m)
Thanks for your reply
Reinhold
Dear Reinhold. We have a wide range of scooters. The bigger is more expensive. Starting from the cheapest, a Honda Wave at 50$US/month to the medium size Honda Lead 110cc / Honda Lead 125cc at 120$US/month or the maxi Honda SH125i at 300$US/month. To be honest, the most popular is a semi-automatic Honda Wave or fully automatic Lead. Honda SH is expensive and not many people want to pay that price. Let us know your thoughts please.
Hello
I live in HCM since 4 years. I arrive in Hanoi next friday (nov 28) at 5pm and i go back sunday evening.
Is it possible to rent a bike/scooter for those 2 days ? I’ll just go to Ninh Binh with my girlfriend.
Is it possible to have the motobike from the airport ?
Thanks and hope to see you soon !
Hello Tristan. Unfortunately, we are booked up till mid-December and have no bike for you this time. Scooters are not a good way to ride on a long trip. Hopefully, we could do something next time, but a much earlier notice.
I need a Lead for 5 or 6 days, staying at Hanoi elegance ruby hotel.
Hello Ken. Could you advise your dates please? We are not able to confirm because you didn’t provide dates. If you hire this Honda Lead for a short time and ride in Hanoi (no long distance trip) the cost is 12$US/day.
Hi,
Is it possible to hire a bike (suitable for a pillion passenger) from Hanoi and then drop off in HCMC?
Hello Johanah. We are based in Hanoi only and sadly haven’t offered one-way motorbike hire yet. You need to pick up the rental bike and return in Hanoi.
Hello,
Me and my friend will stay in Hanoi from March 23rd to April 8th. We would like to hire a scooter for short distances (getting around in Hanoi) and from time to time a bigger bike for longer distances. Could we hire the scooter/bike with you and if so, for what price?
Thank you very much in advance for your answer.
Kind regards
Marie
