Hello Dan. This bike is semi-automatic and it was made for cities. If you ride on the long trip, you need to pay daily rate of 6$US/day. The bike is less than 3 years old because we mainly rent to expats who ride in Hanoi only. Rear rack can be mounted in less than 3 minutes. A deposit is needed to reserve a bike.
