About Honda CGL Sport Touring 125cc Motorcycle

The Honda CGL Sport Touring 125cc belongs to the same family of motorcycles as the Honda CG125, GL125/160, and CB125, which were developed primarily for developing-country markets. These models share many components, although their engine designs and top-end configurations differ.

One important difference is the engine design. The CB and GL models use overhead camshaft (OHC) engines, while Honda developed the CGL125 with a simpler overhead-valve (OHV) push-rod engine. One known weakness of some older Honda OHC engines was that the camshaft bearings could wear prematurely if regular oil changes and preventative maintenance were neglected.

Honda designed the CGL125 with the realities of developing-country motorcycle use in mind. However, for riders who are new to manual motorcycles and simply want an easy, uncomplicated bike for exploring Vietnam, the Honda CGL125 can be an excellent choice. Its simple engine, manageable power, comfortable riding position, and straightforward controls make it particularly suitable for first-time motorcycle touring in Vietnam.
